In common with a lot of people, I first discovered gypsy caravans through Wind in the Willows being read to me by my parents. The vision in my mind's eye almost exactly copied reality when I first saw travellers stopping on our village common in Oxfordshire...

I held that vision until five years ago, when I took to the road in a bow-top wagon and travelled the South and Midlands of England. With the help and guidance of travellers and people en-route, this simple caravan returned a year and a half later looking fully fledged in bright reds, golds, yellows. This caravan, which I sold with great regret, started the ball rolling. Gypsy caravans now take up my time in buying, selling and repairing them.
